This really is the home stretch now. After being holed up with strong winds, swell, and a headache from the town centre ammusements, in Skegness - I was keen to get moving again. Crossing the Wash on paper is quite easy - only about 13nm - but with swell lumping up on its many shallows I was wary. In the end it was an uneventful but painfully slow crossing in next to no wind (the wind turbines stopped turning!) and a most uncomfortable swell.
So the following day in a force 4-5 blasting across the top of Norfolk and some way round the corner was just GREAT! When the sun came out in the afternoon I put aside my reservations about sailing one handed and shot a couple of minutes of bouncy video. You can't fake fun!
