You don't need much stuff to windsurf around Britain. Here's what I find useful (in fact a pretty accurate inventory of what I am carrying).

Sunset from North Berwick

Wind on the nose this morning, better angle this afternoon so in no rush to head off. Crossed into England yesterday - running out of milestones to tick off. Bit sad about that!

South of Fraserburgh

During the earlier stages of the expedition this is a question my (ever concerned) mum asked me (on a number of occasions).

Calm conditions at Helmsdale, north side of Moray Firth

I feel like I am well south already (that is, until look at the map, at which point a sense of vertigo sets in). The weather - blue skies, sun and warmth - feels distinctively southern.

Great campsite at Crosskirk - just East of Thurso

Once again, the weather charts are showing the Northwest corner of Scotland swathed in pink, as that corner gets another battering from another Atlantic low.

Slow progress to Loch Ewe from Badachro (Gairloch) - here's why. Unfortunately I got reported to the coastguard whilst sat here...

I've been fairly off grid these last few days, but have a few pictures that show how they've gone. Explanatory captions are included but only show if you click on an image.

Cape Wrath from the air

Jono may well be heading around the fearsomely named Cape Wrath today.

Thank you to Tushingham for getting some replacement parts to my aging Starboard Phantom whilst at Mallaig.

All images that have GPS location available show as clickable markers on this map.
The most recent image marker is orange, and can be a good indicator of current location.
